上消费社会学课的时候读的。很值得读的一本书，金钱－这个在人们看来没有任何个人色彩的东西，其实充满了社会意义。

那个时代有意义吧，现在看来实在都是常识了。写作方式非常的“古典美式社会学”，现在看来也是有点僵硬了。不过我还是觉得她论证的不是“金钱”作为本体的多重性而是它作为可被分类的多重性。

在做一个关于钱的项目所以翻了一下，更多的是社会学视角下市场化进程中钱的社会意义的变迁，对我目前研究想法的借鉴并不大于是弃了。
