最後我以為Circe是要把對方變成神，沒想到一番暢想之後是要把自己變成人。就像人類會夢想永恒光榮，神會期待短暫熾烈。主題之一是愛，但愛是什麼呀？【好久不讀小說，讀瞭一本還是神話題材，覺得還不錯。】

4.5. 超越我的期待值，盡管我知道這是本廣受歡迎的好書，但對於我這個並不常看fantasy類彆讀者，且因為小時候讀希臘神話故事總有something is lost的感受的人來說，這是本讓我開始對retelling這一個小類彆的書籍重建信心和興趣的開始。Circe這本書最突齣的是作者掌握瞭一種很自然的平衡狀態，在希臘神話故事裏齣名人物和場景作為整體環境中，娓娓道來主人公的故事，展現的是她的經曆和成長。在作者筆下，感覺那些希臘神話中曾作為陪襯和被遺忘的女神是如此栩栩如生，Circe正是如此。她這個角色是如此動態，如此“人”性：她對自己身份的認知和自我懷疑，叛逆，脆弱與頑強，錯誤與懲罰。我們需要更多的這樣從女性視覺看曆史，看神話，看過去的retelling.

再次感激書友的推薦，非常好看，這本書每天陪著我，像一個閨蜜，讀完還有點悵然若失。女神如此動人...之前超喜歡Atwood的penelopiad，這兩個故事走不同路綫，都很好看。Atwood寫作更厲害，這個故事讀完就愛上瞭這個女神。最後大贊audible，超磁性聲音
