Multi-faceted actor, stand-up comedian, and writer Jimmy O. Yang is best known for his portrayal of hilarious intern Jian Yang on HBO's Emmy-nominated comedy series Silicon Valley. Born in Hong Kong, Yang made his television debut on the CBS series 2 Broke Girls and his first late-night stand-up appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show, where he received a rare standing ovation. Other television credits include DirecTV's Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight, CBS' Battle Creek and Criminal Minds, FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 典型（需要從零開始融入美國社會）又非典型（Comedian, Actor, Strip club DJ）的第一代移民，非常有意思的經曆。公司的亞洲文化月把他請來瞭，也剛好推廣他這本書，觀眾問有關Asian representation的時候他其實很反感，不斷說Just let me do my joke, leave these questions to the sociologist，理解他不想總是代錶亞洲人的辛苦，所以在書最後他強調他的Asian heritage還讓我覺得有些錯愕。我如果以後還想再練練public speaking的話，想也去試試open mic。

原本希望憑藉本書學一些美籍華人小孩成長經曆的。 Jimmy是一個聰明孩子，隻是興趣不在學校，不在傢長給安排好的路，而是自己走瞭一條不平常的路。這本書通篇大白話，讀起來輕鬆。
