晚点再评，很特别的一本小说。罗伯特斯通是一个值得尊敬的作家。

不重事件，重在写人的小说。这就注定了文本的发散性写法，确实方便力透纸背的折射众人的价值观道德观，也够深刻的反映出时代背景下公民信仰与情怀的纠结与失落，这是文本最本分的人文情操。但节奏感比较差。前面三分之一对大学生日常的细腻摹写引人入胜也自有一番诗意，而中间部分女大学生遇车祸的书写则有些仓促了。后半部分跳跃着读的，似乎还未等笔下的剖析与隐喻深刻起来，文本就戛然而止，读的云里雾里的一本书。
