Michelle Robinson Obama served as First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Mrs. Obama started her career as an attorney at the Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin, where she met her future husband, Barack Obama. She later worked in the Chicago mayor’s office, at the University of Chicago, and at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Mrs. Obama also founded the Chicago chapter of Public Allies, an organization that prepares young people for careers in public service.

The Obamas currently live in Washington, DC, and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

極其開誠佈公的回憶錄。Michelle不愧是當今女權的標竿。平庸的出身和不懈的努力造就了她。她敢於直面遭受過的不公平的人身和人格攻擊，但是仍然可以用冷靜和理性的態度回應。They go low , we go high. 從字裡行間中可以感受到她對Barack深厚的愛和支持，但同時絲毫沒有放棄自己的事業和夢想。沒有Michelle就不會有Barack。她認清丈夫參選總統是他的責任而不是榮譽。作為第一夫人她完全清楚她的一言一行對公眾造成的影響，也沒有因為成為第一夫人而產生天經地義的優越感。時時刻刻對身邊幫助過她的人抱有感恩的心。她對政治的厭惡立場堅定，但仍然提倡以積極向上的態度去面對反對和質疑的聲音。有幸在華府參加了她的書會並意外見到Barack本人。推薦她親自讀的有聲書，非常親切。

前三分之一可以给四星，自从me变成us就走上一条不断调整自己的路，从普林斯顿到哈佛到律师合伙人，遇到Obama后开始反思光鲜生活表象下的自我追求，再到后面为家庭不断牺牲自我，能看出字里行间的不甘和纠结。如果Michelle依然是个独立的单身女性，这本自传应该会精彩得多。

小学生作文，不过自传嘛……唔，很难出彩，可能因为这个人本身也不出彩，就更没有可看性了，如果你不是黑人女性的话

生日前一天听完的，没想到Michelle写的书竟然这么Relatable.觉得她一路问自己“Am I good enough"也很有意思。比起她unicorn一般的丈夫，她更加像是个“平凡”努力的优等生，跌跌撞撞地找寻自己的人生目标。大家最难想象的可能是奥巴马当总统的八年对他们家庭从某种程度上的人身自由限制吧。
