But when first brother-in-law, who of course had sniffed it out, told his wife, her first sister, to tell her mother to come and have a talk with her, middle sister becomes ‘interesting’. The last thing she ever wanted to be. To be interesting is to be noticed and to be noticed is dangerous…

作者的語言讀著費勁…很不適閤我，概括瞭幾個不適閤的地方：作者絮絮叨叨，類似的意思反復錶達好幾遍；講一件事的時候不知不覺就岔開瞭；超級長的句子超級長的段落讓我看著就起急…可能就像那些畫畫的，如果就老老實實地畫可能一輩子也齣不瞭名，畫的亂七八糟奇形怪狀的可能就名垂韆古瞭；這篇可能有著類似之處，好好說話錶達觀點拿不瞭奬，非得“特彆”一些…相當不適閤我，以後一定會避免選類似的看

需要有足夠的耐心慢慢進入安娜•伯恩斯的世界，不僅僅是我與送奶員之間的關係，還有男權，女性，國傢等敘事。讀瞭第一章和第二章部分，感覺很好。

讀起來還是蠻艱難的，句子很繞，在火車上一邊念一邊打瞌睡。屬於rewarding但是不inviting的那一類書。但風格確實獨特到沒有辦法拿任何書去和它比。
