基本上还原了他当年走的路线，按照书中描写的城镇。有些地方谷歌自己生成的路线实在无法改，比如他提到有一段景观公路开上去还是gravel road。在地图上无论我怎么拖动路线都改不了。而且谷歌一段路线的最多节点是固定的，所以只好分了五段，三段是东部的，两段是西部的。 ...

Bill Bryson 的文字里太多机智与幽默，总让我哑然失笑。虽然他的段子多到轻浮的地步。他这一次开车穿行美国大陆，去了不少很无聊的小镇，可这经历被他写的妙趣横生。看完了，我决不会想去跟随他的足迹访问这些小镇，但是我一定会再去读他的书。
