From School Library Journal PreS. The main draw here is the adorable babies, photographed by Arma, in insect and animal disguises that could all win top prize at any costume party. The accompanying writing in Baby Bugs, however, is weak and repetitive. Certain phrases sound awkward, such as "I'm a fly and I can fly." Also, Arma begins the book with rhyming sentence pairs, loses the sequence on two pages, and then returns to it at the end. Funny Farm fares better, with the author sticking to identifying animal sounds: "The cow says Moo! The sheep says Baa."
