A<br >miquely American art form， since it reflects the pioneering of our country， the<br >Nestern has taken different forms in its three quarters of a century of exist-<br >~ nce on the screen. Few films made the impact that The Great Train Robbery<br >did in 1903 and fewer films have survived as long.<br > The appeal of the Western movie is worldwide and European moviemak-<br >ers have copied the style with a great deal of success. Only a handful of<br >Westerns are being produced in the U.S. now， but the large-scale type of<br >outdoors action film is coming back into popularity.<br > Willie an all-inclusive look at the development of the Western movie from<br >early silent days to the present would take a volume of monumental propor-<br >tions， we hope that this quiz book has covered a lot of the highlights along the<br >trail.
