Chapman's twisted personality in the role of Agent Zigzag during war time has been the highlight of the book, although the general plots of espionage for this one single agent is not nearly as intriguing and sophisticated as those of "Double Cross". Overall an extremely pleasant read.

page-turner! 不过作者对Zigzag这样动机复杂，矛盾重重的人物所做的心理分析不多，有种未能尽兴之感。von Gröning, Dagmar, Faramus和Lord Rothschild为这段历史增添了不同方面的注解。民众抢救着火的图书馆，《泰晤士报》的主编拒绝替政府散布不实新闻则是让人肃然起敬的时刻。
