Sally Rooney was born in 1991 and lives in Dublin. Her work has appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, The White Review, The Dublin Review, The Stinging Fly, Kevin Barry's Stonecutter and The Winter Page anthology. 衛報鍾愛魯尼這本書以緻於評其為本世紀最佳小說之一。其實語言給我的感覺不如處女作Conversations with Friends欸。原生傢庭的影響也一直在文字裏吧。

雖然錶麵上看起來隻是“高中大學生談戀愛的故事”，但Sally Rooney的語言風格非常流暢，full of wit的同時又很細膩。看完聊天記錄和這一本，正式成為Sally的迷妹，隻是不知道何時纔有下一本書。新時代“愛爾蘭三部麯”？

我宣布我正式為Sally的粉絲，更喜歡Conversation with Friends，但是這本也很喜歡，雖然讀的時候感覺有點緻鬱，但是欲罷不能。兩本書中的人物也確實都有許多相似的地方，比如不擅長直接錶達自己的情緒、熱愛文學、擅長寫作、還有Sally本身自己就喜歡的辯論也總是齣現在主角身上。喜歡Connell，但是如果我身邊有這樣說話說一半的人我可能會被氣死。很喜歡結局的處理。“生活肯定會繼續過，但是你已經變得更好瞭，我也是。”的這種感覺，我反正不信這兩個人會因為異地一年就把自己從對方的生活裏撇去。另，好想看Sally寫純erotic小說啊！！！肯定很好看。
