Barack Obama was the 44th president of the United States, elected in November 2008 and holding office for two terms. He is the author of two previous New York Times bestselling books, Dreams from My Father and The Audacity of Hope, and the recipient of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. He lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Michelle. They have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

奥巴马的这本回忆录，我简单的翻了翻。很多人看这本回忆录，或许是想了解一些重大事件。但我觉得政治家都是演员，看他们的回忆录了解重大事件，或许只能得到有意无意包装过的加工品。反倒是一些看似不起眼的小细节，让我印象深刻—— 1，奥巴马提到说回忆录他想尽力写的短一些...

文笔极好，intimate, honest and compassionate. I love this man but ... 实在是…太…长了…

Audible版29小时。总的来说比较泛泛，但是听起来很顺畅。Obama执政时期也是对我来说很重要也很印象深刻的时间段，跟着回忆了很多那些年的大事件。文笔挺流畅，也有一些真诚在，所以虽然自我解释的部分比较刻意，但是不会太让人反感。

观海同志最可贵的地方在于敢于承认美国自私自大自以为是的一面。你要是说你是你是世界的良心、民主的灯塔，我就只想跟你说去你妈的吧跟谁俩装呢；但你要是说你在能力所及、权衡利弊下尽量做出体面的表率，我很难不认同美国的地位确实几乎无可撼动。除了高等教育，好像年少时有机会体验外面的世界确实会对人世界观产生很大的影响。书本身来说，一 提醒了大家曾经还是会听政客讲话学习非小学英语词汇语法的；二 the man doth protest too much; 三 真 他 妈 长……（按字数结稿费吗观海？）

花了一个月时间，才把这本书看完。可以说，奥巴马文笔很好，优雅流畅，读起来很舒服，No matter what you think about Barack Obama, the man can write! 。关于这本书讲了奥巴马很多内容：一步一步的竞选之路，次贷危机，医改，G20峰会，访华，最后猎杀本拉登。一个在goodreads上的评论很有代表性：奥巴马不是一个完美的总统，但是他是唯一一个能把各种矛盾进行良好平衡的总统。

【有聲書】先拋開政治不說，作為一個人，奧巴馬是十分值得尊重和學習的。回憶錄字裡行間流露出他的真誠和謙遜。他把美國總統這個名號視為自己的使命和義務而不是優越。在行使總統職責的同時承認自己的不足，尊重和鼓勵下屬給予他意見和建議。難怪奧巴馬有著極強的人格魅力。政治上，他能認清美國存在的種種根深蒂固的政治、經濟和社會問題，也希望能盡自己最大努力去解決。但是不足在於他意識不到或者不願意承認那些問題存在的根源在於美國的經濟政治體質的弊端。通過他對幾項重要法案“做香腸”過程的回憶也能看出美國政治體制的癥結。整個回憶錄十分詳盡：對共事人員和外國政要的描述涵蓋外貌和性格特徵；對國際事物有其來龍去脈的複述；甚至對一些事件的天氣和環境也有提及，可以說是細緻入微。另外在有聲書裡聽奧巴馬本人親口說髒字挺有意思。
