文字凝练，结构清晰，内容震撼，没有看不懂的理论，我读过的民族志里面非常好的一本。虽然我没读过几本。蔡华这本书主要是讲摩梭人（纳人）的走婚习俗和其他奇特的当地文化，最后衍伸出来的结论有点意思。原文是法文版，英文翻译的我觉得还可以。

The Na of China, farmers in the Himalayan region, live without the institution of marriage. Na brothers and sisters live together their entire lives, raising the women’s children. 现代的“古典民族志”范本，很工整的叙述，英译本非常简单平实。蔡老师那样一个狂狷的人物，写出来的民族志却颇有普里查德之遗风。可见其功力之所在。
