Henry V is a study of kingship, patriotism, and heroic determination, tempered by tender comedy as Henry courts Katherine, Princess of France. Young King Henry, attempting to consolidate his power, invades France, believing he has a rightful claim to the throne. The dramatic battle of Agincourt, where the English are outnumbered by the French five to one, provides some of Shakespeare's most stirring and memorable poetry. This wonderful production is performed by Brian Cox, Bill Nighy, and the Arkangel cast.
