几位不明飞行物观察者的故事上报后没几天，均死于非命。《唱歌的钻石》中的这个谜题很新奇，解答过于异想天开，但还在可接受范围内。 Basil Willing登场时四十出头，Gisela在第二作出现时才二十六七，没想到妻子没有熬过丈夫。Willing老年迁居波士顿，看到了外孙出世，也算圆满。

Lost Classics 8th,总体颇有水准的集子，类型也比较多样，让我想到了布兰德的那本短篇集，但麦克洛伊更注重氛围塑造。后来扩展为长篇的第一篇，格局稍显宏大的《The Singing Diamonds》，是我最喜欢的两篇，部分篇目推理较弱，但瑕不掩瑜，不枉一读。

尽管质量有些良莠不齐，但是我还是愿意打上四星。第一篇虽然以前读过同名长篇，但我还是愿意为这个短篇营造的气氛打上五星。第二篇的连续死亡事件的解答也很精彩。简介：【http://www.douban.com/note/518263053/】
