Resulting in a culturally integrated population, European architecture adorns Argentina’s cities and particularly Buenos Aires, which is commonly known as South America’s Paris. This feature introduces some of the works built in Argentina over the past 20 years. The three essays discuss issues of modernism in Argentina, prevailing tendencies amongst young architects, and the influence of the built environment on architectural discourse.

Shenzhen and Guangzhou are two typical cities in south China. Shenzhen is the first Special Economic Zone, a complete new city developed from a cultural desert. While Guangzhou, an important town of South China, has a long history, with typical local characteristics and cultural connotation. This feature lead readers to see the current architecture development in the two cities. The works of U RBANUS reflect architects concerns on city space and humanistic care.
