從幾部好萊塢黃金時代名作的細讀入手探討電影“視角問題”（廣義）作者延承分析哲學的方法論注重敘述緯度在觀眾理解中的技巧，探討瞭不可靠敘述、電影透明性、連續性剪輯等問題。總的來說對所提電影熟悉的讀起來還蠻有趣味但在理論上貢獻非常有限，而且繼承瞭分析電影理論對真正觀影知覺體驗的漠視，把看電影當作瞭一種讀書一般的純理性活動，問題很大
