证明很细致，适合初学者，不过内容稍微有点杂，主题切入的有点慢，篇幅有点大，初学可能需要取舍

一定要去百度作者的名字，找到他的主页，上头有个勘误表，下载下来。这本书写的风格和国内代数学课本的风格很像。我想或许应该反过来说，国内前一代数学家很多是读Rotman的风格学的。还是很好读的，讲得很全。不过行文单纯是知识的记录，甚至有些地方的文字讲解很刻板，和gelfand的旁征博引，从各个角度去理解差远了。
