Anti-Semitism is a man-made virus that remains just as dangerous and insidious today as it was in the previous century. Michael Checinski has fought this virus, not just in the Lodz Ghetto and in the Concentration Camps, but in post-war Poland, where he served as a career officer in Polish Counter Intelligence. When he is asked to join the Marshall Center, a US army think tank in Germany dedicated to the promotion of Western values, he discovers that anti-Semitism has infected this bastion of democracy as well.
