人類學傢寫的實驗室觀察民族誌，可以當物理新生handbook。The human and technological elements jointly determine the laboratory life, which resembles ANT but disclaims Latour's social construction of data. The meritocracy of physics circle is like the trickling down effect of the economy. The male myth chapter is meaningful. 對理論和實驗物理學界相愛相殺點到為止（之前讀《三體》就略有瞭解facepalm

當年被latour批判，如今卻在STS領域越來越重要的一本實驗室ethnography。從物理學傢的組織文化，時間架構和機械裝備三個部分展開，最後使用塗爾乾的文化社會分析理論來論證物理學傢的cosmology是和社會/自然構成相對應的（對的，不是coproduction，所以觸到瞭大佬逆鱗）。在我看來最喜歡detectors和male myth兩章，描寫和論理都很有功力，其他章就稍稍淺瞭些。聽老師說瞭traweek的故事，一個好像有寫作障礙的學者，一個在開會的時候自白是一個failed scholar的女性，感覺人生故事和這本書一樣讓人嗟嘆。

作者幽默感太強瞭。唯一的問題是寫作時間太早瞭。不過我是從讀著玩的角度評判的。後麵著重講日本的部分我就不太敢讀，因為不瞭解，怕被誤導。

內容部分有非常多好玩的細節。但是她是不是用瞭過於多的feminism視角瞭？因此理論分析那部分不是特彆喜歡。
