Lai），新加坡人。先后毕业于新加坡国立大学（获学士、硕士学位）与澳大利亚悉尼大学（获哲学博士学位）。现任澳大利亚新南威尔士大学人文学院哲学副教授。兼任《中国比较哲学》（Chinese Comparative Philosophy）、《哲学指南》（Philosophy Compass）杂志编辑，《索非亚：国际宗教哲学杂志》（Sophia: International Journal for Philosophy of Religion），《形上神学与伦理学》（Metaphysical Theology and Ethics）助理编辑，《中国哲学季刊》（Journal of Chinese Philosophy）书评编辑，国际中国哲学会（International Society for Chinese Philosophy）咨议委员会委员。另著有《师法中国哲学：相待与处境化自我的伦理》（Learning from Chinese Philosophies: Ethics of Interdependent and Contextualised Self）（2006）。

相当于废话。因为杨国荣是搞中国哲学思想史的，从他评语来看，对老外的这本书显然有不屑之感。推广语说了为什么要引进这本书的理由，但感觉还是去读冯友兰和杨国荣吧，这样会更有收获。老外的这本，基本上不算什么学术著作，对大众读者来说也会摸不着头脑。完毕。
