相比于它“平均三天三夜读完”的宣传，书本身要逊色很多。读完之后让我觉得它的宣传有点恶心。书本身格局很大，本可以成为《战争与和平》那样地位的作品，可惜作者没有完全驾驭住。描写一战但书中正面描写战场的篇章却少的可怜，对士兵心理的描写也不让人信服。各个人物政治立...

1、不用记一长串外国人名 因为书里名字很长的人都当不了主角！比如“特奥巴登•冯•贝特曼•霍尔维格”，太长，pass！“茉黛”，赞，又短又好记，所以是女主角之一。而且，就像美剧每集都有前情提要一样，书里每次重要人物出场，都会有一段个性化的外貌、举止描写，很细...  

故事讲的是第一次世界大战，当然就战争故事来说，他的节奏太快了（这里我要安利写二战的小说《战争与回忆》系列，看的比较从容），节奏快的会感觉不太经看，我本来做好了这么厚三本我可以玩半个月的准备（因为我只在上下班地铁和躺床的时候才看书），后来几天就结束了，怅然若...

一开始很不错。到一战了，和战事一样，拖得太长，读到生厌。还是没有the pillars of the earth好。

我觉得我好久没有这么酣畅淋漓的读本中规中矩的小说了，特别怀念中学的时候可以在床头捧着本书读到3、4点的劲头。这大概是除了红楼梦之外读的最厚的一本书了。一直对一战的历史特别模糊，只知道是欧洲大乱炖，没有想到居然是这么可笑的一个trigger。五个家族错综复杂的交错的人生让人唏嘘不已。我只希望第二本书里能天降正义Lev，看得我简直生气！

好看到放不下来，还可以顺便学习历史。对女性人物的刻画尤其精彩。哪位大大去把改编权买下来吧，这题材和构思翻拍成迷你剧再合适不过了。

太精彩了！Will never look at WWI, Russia's revolution, or women's suffrage in the same way ever again。将近1000页都是看小说学历史的典范。后两本在欧洲一边旅行一边读就太开心了！

通宵文学不是盖的，倒也不是多么跌宕起伏，但的确很抓人，让人想要一直读下去
