一本还凑合的书，电影只是其中一章。觉得她把一切责任都推给了父母，从未反思自己在16岁时做的事情。

什么什么什么这本书有8分的评价作者简直就是如她自己所描述的a blabbermouth 看到后面真得一股怨气心里想你这些屁事关我什么事情没有反思没有深刻就是小市民电影跟书差蛮多的其实电影剧本跟她一点儿关系都没有真的

An Education中与Simon的那一章节里，展现出了两种教育值得被分析一下：Parenting & Life Education. 曾是工人阶级现是中产阶级的父母亲遗留着不一样的思想传统，例如母亲对Barber说, 'you don't need to go to the university if you've got a good husband'. Barber在遇见Simon之后变成了存在主义者，她说她与Simon在一起两年的经历 'cured her craving for sophistication'.
