公共管理是科學還是藝術？值得一讀的好書，剛剛獲ASPA的最佳圖書奬。其實更多可以說的是研究方法書，裏麵講瞭定量、定性和混閤方法來構建理論，而且推崇公共管理的多源流論，值得稱道。比起簡單的傳統公共管理的二分法，顯得彌足珍貴。

翻書黨#Riccucci老師的這本書試圖迴答的是所謂公共行政到底是個啥？是一門藝術還是一門科學？科學的話，司馬賀所言，事實與價值兩分；藝術的話，就是價值難分離。整本書其實不復雜，各有各的理，那麼就問題導嚮，什麼時候閤用什麼手段，就開始用起來。定性定量MIX也都無所謂。有點像早年的工匠做東西也不懂各種數學定理，後來也傳承下來瞭。我還比較傾嚮這種態度，盡管我認為MIX已經是無法避免的瞭，而單純的質性研究，至少從經濟學來看，是完全在學術演化過程中被淘汰瞭。其他社會科學恐怕也不會例外。
