Kyung-sook Shin is the author of numerous works of fiction and is one of South Korea’s most widely read and acclaimed novelists. 尋找母親這本書並不是在尋找母親，而是在尋找一個感情寄托的地點。作者很巧妙地運用親情來打動我們，同時采用第二人稱的寫法，讓她對自己的責備變成瞭對我們讀者的責備，確實是比較高明的一種寫法。但是這篇文章采用第二人稱也有問題，在另一個女人這一章中常常讓人感到一頭霧...

Just a pathetic, illiterate woman overwhelmed by her identity as Mom, being taken granted for sacrificing almost everything for the family yet neglected by the families. The story is not appealing to me.

this is a great and emotional book that's better finished in one sitting. Actually, once started, it is hard to put done. Even the book is set in Korea, it's very easy to understand and emote. Plus the translation is pretty good and the novel is not that long, it's kinda of a light read. anyway, a great book.
