約翰·比奈爾

（John P. J. Pinel）

《生物心理學》的作者，在濛特利爾的麥吉爾大學獲得博士學位，在麻省理工學院短期工作後取得溫哥華英屬哥倫比亞大學教員職位，目前他是該學校的榮譽退休教授。比奈爾教授是一名備受贊譽的教師，也是200多篇科學論文的作者。然而，他覺得《生物心理學》纔是他與職業生涯相關的主要成就：“它將與我職業有關的所有摯愛：學生、教學、寫作和研究都聯係在一起。”

比奈爾把他的許多成就歸功於他的妻子——瑪吉（Maggie）。她在不同的時期分彆是專業的藝術傢、設計師和私人教練。多年來，他們在很多項目上都有閤作，《生物心理學》中高質量的插圖在很大程度上得益於她的專業和努力。

譯者簡介

楊莉

現任華南師範大學心理學院及腦科學研究院教授，博導。中國心理學會生理心理學分會委員，廣東省腦發育與腦疾病防治學會常務理事，廣東省神經科學學會理事。早年師從華東師範大學周紹慈教授，於1991年、1995年分彆獲得神經生物學碩士和博士學位，之後留校任教。1998~2013年先後在美國南伊利諾大學醫學院和貝勒醫學院從事神經退變性疾病，尤其是阿爾茨海默癥的研究。目前研究興趣包括探討阿爾茨海默癥的發病機理及治療靶點、社會行為及情緒的神經基礎等。
