J.K. Rowling is the author of the bestselling Harry Potter series of seven books, published between 1997 and 2007, which have sold more than 450 million copies worldwide, are distributed in more than 200 territories, translated into 74 languages, and have been turned into eight blockbuster films. She has also written two small volumes, which appear as the titles of Harry’s schoolbooks within the novels. In December 2008, The Tales of Beedle the Bard was published in aid of the Children’s High Level Group, and quickly became the fastest selling book of the year.

As well as an OBE for services to children’s literature, J.K. Rowling is the recipient of numerous awards and honorary degrees including the Prince of Asturias Award for Concord, France’s Légion d’honneur, and the Hans Christian Andersen Literature Award, and she has been a Commencement Speaker at Harvard University. She supports a wide number of charitable causes through her charitable trust Volant, and is the founder of Lumos, a charity working to transform the lives of disadvantaged children.

其實羅林的社會化文學能力真不行，從hp第三部開始加入的社會化元素就能看得齣，遠遠沒有單純的兒童文學駕馭得好。這本書也一樣，跟鳳凰社類似。浪費我£7，早知道就下載看瞭，還pre－order個屁

盡管書中有很多虛僞的人物，這本書卻把他們的心理和動機，無論醜陋閤理與否，統統赤裸裸的寫瞭齣來：一群人各有自己的苦惱和盤算，但每一個決定的後果都超齣他們的預想，最後似乎一切都走上正軌，但付齣的代價太大太慘痛。和哈利波特完全沒有可比性的作品，但有一群真實可信的人物，所以還是一部好小說

整個調子很灰暗，死亡開始死亡終結，那種壓抑感頗象讀鳳凰社。第一場死亡攪動瞭一個小鎮的沉渣，讓每個人物的人性負麵充分現形，最後的死亡倒似乎帶來點救贖的機會。雖有點散亂，但群像畫得還不錯，每個人都挺鮮明。讀這本比讀哈裏波特更讓人感覺到她的文筆，可能是因為後者故事性壓倒瞭彆的。
