看作者的名字，還以為是日本人，但又有點不像。打開書來看，纔知道作者是猶太人，隻是名字譯得怪怪的。這本書的中文版在2004年推齣，原著卻是在70年前（1935年）寫成的，是次再版是因為作者剛作齣修潤，而中文版便趁此推齣譯本。 有人看到歷史書便頭痛，因為歷史書多是沉悶的...

看書評和作者的感覺應該是本好書啊，應該是以老人的口氣寫給小朋友的書，並且這個老人是研究藝術史的，應該能把這兩者好好的結閤起來，從不同的角度講一講，但是翻譯的是在太差瞭~讓人都讀不下去瞭~ 有沒有可以直接讀的英語版？

I'm 23 and thanks to the writer I learned a lot. Not only historical facts in an enthusiatic way, but also humanity and sympathy and optimism as well as dignity and self-contemplation.
