The Romantic Movement

Alain de Botton was born in Switzerland in 1969, educated at Cambridge, and lives in London. He is the author of The Romantic Movement (Picador) and How Proust Can Change Your Life. His first novel, On Love, was published in fifteen countries, and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award for Fiction.

比起小说更像是一本哲学书。又用了一个多月才啃完，不过看了德波顿的演讲视频之后再看他的书都能随时脑补他本人在诉说的样子...

原来谈恋爱的时候人会死那么多脑细胞啊。。剑桥文学系的文字功底果真不是盖的（好难理解啊有些句式），看起来再简单不过的词都被他拓展出新用法，宗教哲学艺术心理各个也都是信手拈来毫不费力。且希望自己视野开阔一些英语好一些的时候能再细读一遍，毕竟女主跟自己太像???????????? 也推de botton的essays in love 和 how to think more about sex

每次看Alain De Botton 都是这样 前五十页拍案叫绝 机智幽默 剩下200多页味如嚼蜡。。。聪慧都不见了乏味的想讲大道理又没有足够深度。。。╮(╯_╰)╭
