如果你还不读过恰克•帕拉尼克，我也不建议你去认识这个家伙。 如果在读到他之前，你对自己的生活并不满意，那么读过他之后，你只会觉得一切更糟。 别指望有什么书可以充当救世主，让你看到生命多美好。《窒息》不会，其他什么书也都不会。 它们仅仅，会提供一个幻境给你...  

（多年前看过原著和电影，写过Choke的影评，这篇书评是按那个影评套路改的） 倘若拿这部作品跟逼格略高人群耳熟能详的《搏击俱乐部》比，无论是对作者还是对fans都显得很不厚道。之所以力荐纯粹是出于溺爱罢了。 整部作品演绎得还算流畅，书里比较出彩的几个桥段也都是作家...  

如果你看过恰克至少两本以上的小说，你就会发现他总是同一个调子。 歇斯底里的宣泄，无政府主义的癫狂和若隐若现的善意动机。 恰克·帕拉尼克是个善于细节描写，句子构建和设置结尾的作家，当这些特质被浓缩在短篇小说中的时候，蛰伏后爆发出的破坏力绚丽惊人，他奇妙的想象...

CHUCK主人公的世界观总是让人叹为观止

Chuck's way of writing was really fascinating. I loved that once you open the book, you couldn't stop but going in all the way down, twisting your head in between, loving and hating the characters in the story, and finally finishing the book in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to bed again becuz you are still breathing in the story..

写这种东西需要知道很多边角知识与民俗偏方. 然后故作深沉的句子加进去才能显得mesmerizing. 否则就是憋出来的尿.

This is a book that is tough to stomach. And without some life experience, one can hardly understand it. It makes you think of love, life, relationships and basically everything. What makes us tick, what life is all about ... What will Jesus now do?
