错字、漏字都不计较了，整本书设计都太失格调，从封面到封底，没能找到一页上眼的,出版社还自吹自擂弄个了“小红帽”，唉~~。最不解的是，居然在首页来上个“成就商业阶层事业与生活的梦想”的口号，湛庐文化纯SB！！！

Krakauer, a contributing editor to Outside and Men's Journal, retraces McCandless's ill-fated antagonism toward his father, Walt, an eminent aerospace engineer. Krakauer also draws parallels to his own reckless youthful exploit in 1977 when he climbed Devils Thumb, a mountain on the Alaska-British Columbia border, partly as a symbolic act of rebellion against his autocratic father. 比电影好太多，作者通过前前后后大量线索的整理，刻画出了一个更加完整的追求精神上自由的年轻人的形象。而且我感觉这本比Into Thin Air写得更好。因为Krauer联系起自己年轻时候独自在阿拉斯加攀冰的经历，对于Chris有一种感同身受的人文关怀。再看看那些谩骂Chris的脑残读者来信，真是千古乌鸦一般黑。更为可贵的是，作者又能够比较各种证据，有理有据地应对批评——他年轻的时候可是个流浪木工……

曾今是如此崇拜Alex，而如今住在阿拉斯加听了很多故事，才体会到他的行为是有多么的reckless。我为他家人的悲哀感到深深地同情，而他为自己不充分的准备付出了代价。每年都有很多人走进阿拉斯加的荒野，却再也没有回来，只有一小部分是死在他们的梦里。很不幸Alex不是其中之一。
