I was so lost in the eponymous story, but it was so captivating. The framing of the encounter of the infinite list of things through the letter Alef is the death of a friend. Benjamin's storyteller mentioned death is the sanction of a storyteller. The list of words resembles the display of ideas in Benjamin's in the epistemo-critical prologue.
