humorous people aren't always kind

與尋常的遊記不同，比爾·布萊森並沒有直接描繪迷人旖旎的風光或是推薦吃喝玩樂的去處，卻反其道而行之，這位作家通篇都在吐槽英國人有多死心眼、英國的城鎮規劃有多荒謬、英國的鐵路時間表有多不人性化，令人讀來忍俊不禁。不過，比爾·布萊森說到底也只是“刀子嘴豆腐心”，他雖然對英國這般毒舌，但是心底裡卻對這個國家有著深厚的感情，4顆星

well with expectation as such, disappointment is perhaps all too natural... managed to extract from my dried up being a few laughs at the very beginning, very much due to my glorious mood in retrospect, but bored me considerably till the very end...esp. after a reading experience like Dorian Gray, most unfortunately...
