记得好像还是在高中时光，随手买了本很流行的书虫，想锻炼下自己的英语，没想到，看了两页实在坚持不住，还是看了中文翻译，一看就是看到了底……最多感受，爱还是原来的好……

哈代真的是写景长于写人。除了描摹出英国乡村四季绚丽绮美的景象，人事的刻画却乏善可陈。生硬的叙事技巧在二十世纪文学面前完全不值一提，读者甚至时而感到捉襟见肘、强行拼凑。前半部分情节推进异常沉闷而拖沓，Troy出场后人物冲突加剧，剧情才逐渐精彩起来。看到结尾越发也能体会出哈代的优点。不悲天、不悯人，笔触冷静而残酷，即使是小说结尾Gabriel Oak和Bathsheba终于成眷属，也不过是平淡的勾勒一笔，仿佛是作者替笔下人物心理一直压抑着激情却直到故事结局也不肯释放。谁知道经历了人世浮沉后他们愈发现实的婚姻又会走向何处吗？ 可是，生活不就是如此吗？
