在Austen的作品裏，這部算是蠻讓我失望的。諾桑覺寺從寫作日期來算是最早的，但是一直到去世之後纔得以齣版。拜讀完之後似乎明白瞭為什麼。。首先，我不喜歡作者在作品中用作者的口吻評價自己的主人翁。一個成熟的作者應該讓主人翁自己錶達自己，可能那時候的Austen駕馭人物...

I am a little disappointed with this novel. The intrigue is not convincing and the heroine not impressive at all. But I like Henry, if only Jane could spare more lines to describe him!
