02/09 看完的时候，正坐着火车从律所的welcome party回家。最喜欢的是从Silas捡到Eppie开始他生活的质变，最揪心的是当Cass夫妇登门认领Eppien时，最开心的是Eppie很争气的守在Silas身边。

一切都太顺理成章了，像是合家欢的贺岁片。尽管情节安排很精妙，但也不乏loose ends。整本小说显得平淡无奇，反倒是Priscilla登场的几句台词比较值得注意。
