二〇〇五年，罗斯成为第三位在世时被收入“美国文库”出版作品全集的美国作家。这套八卷本文集计划于二〇一三年出齐。

damn this is powerful... A literary encounter with death, head-to-head, unflinching, and heartbreakingly dignified. It adds *weight* to one's life ——如果哪天人生态度afloat了就一定重读它。压实一点。其实这本书应该被assign为《存在与时间》的companion reading，真正明了什么是the unfathomable, utter facticity of death，越过字符去倾听轰隆奔腾的生命地下河。萨特教我们面对自由的深渊，海德格尔教我们面对死亡，存在主义其实一点都不丧。
