我覺得本書的高光部分在於將artisanal knowledge看為一種experiment。但是不明白為什麼要扯那麼多artisanal相關的social status和political background相關的問題，chapter one過於冗長。

Redefining naturalism as an artisanal engagement with nature through bodily experience to gain practical knowledge, before such ideal was eclipsed by Enlightenment elision of body. A nicely argued book, Part II on Paracelsus is esp strong, loved the idea of a guided tour into Sylvius' house.
