作者簡介

馬剋斯·韋伯(1864-920)是現時代最傑齣的社會學傢，被視為20世紀最偉大的頭腦之一。他在政治社會學、法律社會學、宗教社會學等若乾領域的係統建樹，他的方法論體係，他的大規模比較研究，至今仍是無與倫比。

德國的韋伯成為世界的韋伯，很大程度上是由於《新教倫理與資本主義精神》、《社會學文集》和《經濟與社會》的廣泛影響，而《社會學文集》自20世紀問世以來，對於初步但比較全麵地瞭解韋伯思想就一直是公認的權威讀本。

閻剋文，山東大學當代社會主義研究所兼職教授，中國政法大學社會學院兼職教授。譯著有《民主新論》、《君主論》、《貢斯當政治論文選》、《個人主義》、《韋伯的新教倫理》、《韋伯傳》、《新教倫理與資本主義精神》、《經濟與社會》、《韋伯政治著作選》等。
