He is the author of Theories of Social Capital (Pluto, 2010) and co-authored the award-winning books From Economics Imperialism to Freakonomics (2009) and From Political Economy to Economics (2008).Jyoti Saraswati teaches on the Business and Political Economy Program at the Stern School of Business, New York University (NYU). He is the author of Dot.compradors: Power and Policy in the Development of the Indian Software Industry (Pluto, 2012).Daniela Tavasci Lecturers in the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University London.

Moving beyond abstract economic models and superficial descriptions of the market, Beyond the Developmental State analyses the economic, political and ideological interests which underpin current socio-economic processes.
