He is Breed Professor of Design Emeritus at Northwestern University and Professor Emeritus at the University of California, San Diego, where he was founding chair of the Department of Cognitive Science and chair of the Department of Psychology. He has served as Vice President of Apple Computer's Advanced Technology Group, and his many books include "Emotional Design," "The Design of Future Things," and most recently, "Living with Complexity."

1. “Design presents a fascinating interplay of technology and psychology.” 2."you are designing for people the way you would like them to be, not for the way they really are" 这句话早看到就好了，对于爱情不也一样么？ 3. no feedback, we human beings are prone to be insecure for feeling losing control. 我一直觉得传统的电梯设计有很多槽点，一是电梯的“脑子”没设计好，通常要等好久；二是没有feedback，大家都会一直摁几下。
