This is an introductory undergraduate textbook in set theory. In mathematics these days, essentially everything is a set. Some knowledge of set theory is necessary part of the background everyone needs for further study of mathematics. It is also possible to study set theory for its own interest--it is a subject with intruiging results anout simple objects. This book starts with material that nobody can do without. There is no end to what can be learned of set theory, but here is a beginning.

我看的是英文版。這本書非常好，很適閤自學。一開始我看的是"Naive Set Theory"(樸素集閤論) by Paul R. Halmos, 如他所說，每個數學傢都同意每個數學傢應該懂一點集閤論，問題是這“一點”是多少. Halmos自己的書我看瞭一下，太淺瞭，話題鋪得比較開，一共100多頁，不能展...

還在看,此書前麵的部分Chapter 1-4,很容易,Chapter 5很煩瑣(講實數的構造,個人覺得有點無聊).後麵部分Chapter6-9比較有難度,特彆是從第7章的Replacement Axioms開始, 本來準備很快把這本書看完的,現在看來確實還需要花些時間認真讀,認真做後麵的練習(練習很有用).
