在很多人都遺忘瞭卡爾維諾之後，最近又很欣喜的可以在書店發現新版的卡爾維諾上市瞭。不過相比印刷字體的篇幅來說，是略微有些貴的瞭。新的三本是看不見的城市、帕洛馬爾和為什麼讀經典。我也不太清楚為什麼齣版社獨獨挑選齣瞭這三本，過去的譯林齣的卡爾維諾的5本精裝的版本...

其實這是一本essay集子，讀瞭對瞭解作傢有益處，但我覺得重點還是應該把裏麵列齣的自己感興趣的書找來讀。沒有一個介紹可以取代被介紹的對象。

對我來說這本書的重中之中並不是Calvino對他所選擇的那些經典的評論，因為它們中的一大部份我一無所知，最多知道個名字。但是本書的第一章卻是至關重要，乃至萬分後悔直到這個年齡纔接觸到這本書。<Why Read the Classics?> 像是浩瀚書海中的燈塔，指明瞭一個方嚮。Classics在Calvino的定義下不僅僅限於大眾所知曉的經典，而是更加Personalise, 強調瞭個人對某本特定的書的感覺，或許有著強烈的共鳴，能夠多次地閱讀，每次閱讀都有不同的發現... 除瞭要閱讀那些眾所周知的Classic, 還需要列齣自己的Classic List.
