本书是剑桥大学 critical reasoning and argumentation 系列书籍的第二本。第一本是《Fundamentals of Argumentation》。本书主要围绕逻辑谬误，包括形式和非形式谬误。采用现代逻辑学的分类，不再对两者进行区分，而是分为：Fallacy of Diversion, Fallacy of Structure, Problem of Language, Ad Hominem, Other "Ad" Argument, Misuse of Experts, Sampling, Correlation and Cause, Analogical Reasoning. 可能是先入为主，我对这种分类不感冒，还是认为亚里士多德逻辑谬误分类更方便记忆。
