"Unfocused but frequently illuminating meditations on how we see and how we don't. "这个评语相当恰当，写得太松懈，可以说是自我感受未经辨析的肆意铺张。但是主题是很好的。我们往往并不能看到对象－他物，甚至最亲密的人也是视而不见的。伦勃朗和哈默休伊真正完整、以温柔的不掩饰看到对象，甚至维米尔都不能这样直接看，因为他看的是想象－imagery。
