非常不错的导论，兼顾哲学史与现当代理论，又清楚明白。顺带八卦一笔，作者博士论文导师John McDowell，本人也是气质温婉的大美人。

简洁也太简单了。知识与事实相关联，但并非每一个事实都是知识的要件。大多数认识论学者的知识理论都是从单个的认知主体与事实之间的联系出发。knowledge links a subject to a truth，所以，knowledge与opinion的区别在它们那里的区分并不明显。Gettier时代的“知识”依旧被等同于被证实的真信念。而被证实的真信念依旧不能说是知识，后者超越于证言和真信念的总和。经典理论的困境，存在于正当理由与事实的鸿沟之间。最理想的状态就是找到一种知识理论，同时能够结合抽象和客观，也就是调和笛卡尔的第一人视角和洛克的第三人视角。
