首推Ari Fliakos的有声书每一个角色都有自己独特的声线。politics family love friendship business gay/lesbian child abuse畅销书的元素一应俱全作者想用各个角色反映大时代下小人物的复杂内心然而联系却很松散比如Pwnage跟Laura Potsdam的部分纵然诙谐也极具现实意义但跟主题的联系脆弱不堪一击 Faye的人格跟盲人摸象的关系也很牵强。说烂尾的盆友们给作者一个自我剖白的机会也没什么错吧。出版时间对应美国大选时机简直不要更精准！！

4.7 很是幽默就连结尾部分我都笑出两次来，也很能break it down的说故事方式，虽说600多页也是一周下来下班后回来看再加个周末能解决的好读的故事。我一般给分都是0.5一个区别但是这回真的就差那么点点就可以给5分啦还是不错的

读完后又去看了三段Nathan Hill签书巡回的座谈访问，The Nix花了他用三年时间写，六年时间做research，他说Pwnage其实是跟自己研究生毕业后去纽约的一段生活相关。当初拿着自己的作品（还没开始写The Nix) 到处碰壁，因为纽约本来作家就满地开花。在Queens跟11个老爷们儿挤着住。有一次因为搬家，临时把家当包括电脑，还有装满作品备份的硬盘都锁在车后备箱，结果发现下班回来后都被盗。一时心灰意冷开始打魔兽(是真的，魔兽！）颓废了好一整子。后来就理所当然写了这么个人物。加之自己正职是大学大一大二写作课老师，难免现实中会遇到像Laura的那种学生。 Faye呢，取材于他妈，但他跟他妈本身关系很好并没谁抛弃谁。

好讽刺好犀利好真实！前几章关于政客、媒体和privileged millennials直接在公车上笑出了声。很多书评都说是David Foster Wallace式犀利并meta的文风。后面越看越神：2011、80年代、60年代、40年代相互交错；9个角色的POV叙述，这其中包括一本以第二人称叙述的choose your own adventure book，让我们理解和同情每个人的经历。就是这结尾太烂尾了啊！好像没时间草草收场，或者是要达到choose your own adventure book那种“条条线索均汇合”的统一。而且结尾咋都开始说教了呢。

阅读体验超级流畅。想一口气读完，又舍不得读完。朗读者太重要了。会捧着书重读。
