文笔太优美一定要读原文，再能耐的翻译也没法翻出原文的韵味。这本书出版以来连连得奖但几乎没什么名声，只因为：1）出版商不肯公开宣传这是一本gay novel，2）南北战争前后屠杀印第安人的残酷历史是他们不愿踏足的雷区。都什么年代了还有些人在想方设法掩蔽这些内容，真可悲。
