In a mining town in Germany, the orphan Werner grows up with his younger sister, enchanted by a crude radio they find. Werner becomes an expert at building and fixing these crucial new instruments, a talent that wins him a place at a brutal academy for Hitler Youth, then a special assignment to track the resistance. More and more aware of the human cost of his intelligence, Werner travels through the heart of the war and, finally, into Saint-Malo, where his story and Marie- Laure's converge.

讀的時候還在想這本書的結構是不是有問題，後來纔發覺其精妙之處。

历时大半年，终于把这本满是生词的小说啃完了。宏大叙事下一闪而过的爱情真的好甜，正因为它注定要消失不见，所以它存在的那一刻璀璨夺目。

語言很美，我覺得結尾不太滿意。不能說虎頭蛇尾，只是平淡了些。也許這就是這些人物們跨越幾十年後最好的結局，但不甘心啊⋯

故事是好故事，但是太多不认识的单词了，而且个人觉得总体不太连贯。更喜欢偷书贼那种叙事一些
