Werner becomes an expert at building and fixing these crucial new instruments, a talent that wins him a place at a brutal academy for Hitler Youth, then a special assignment to track the resistance. More and more aware of the human cost of his intelligence, Werner travels through the heart of the war and, finally, into Saint-Malo, where his story and Marie- Laure's converge.

語言很美，我覺得結尾不太滿意。不能說虎頭蛇尾，隻是平淡瞭些。也許這就是這些人物們跨越幾十年後最好的結局，但不甘心啊⋯

/看的第二本英文原著/兩綫敘事pov寫法，結構精妙。說來慚愧，本來是衝著言情情節去看的，實際上法國盲女和德國男孩的相遇總共也不到一天。小說大篇幅還是寫各自命運如同河流一般，二戰使他們交匯，也很快使他們分開。單純、聰明的德國男孩因為戰爭成為無名的國傢機器。後天盲疾的法國女孩因為戰爭失去父親，滯留在海邊的法國小鎮。Werner和Marie看上去莫名其妙的愛戀是浪漫的，更是殘酷的。結尾已經做祖母的Marie俯視整個巴黎，她聽到那麼多的聲音，那些密密麻麻的交流電視廣播。而在她的十六歲，她隻有一颱藏在閣樓的收音機。還喜歡結尾jutta去法國找Marie那段情節，已經長大的德國女人在法國列車上，看到法國人，內心拼命想著“他們一定認齣我瞭，或許我聞上去就像個德國人。”不用一個詞兒說教，這還不夠反戰嗎？

曆時大半年，終於把這本滿是生詞的小說啃完瞭。宏大敘事下一閃而過的愛情真的好甜，正因為它注定要消失不見，所以它存在的那一刻璀璨奪目。
